Default Major clean up, fix up but not a restoration

If you haven't seen pics of "Second Chance Gun" 108603, parts of it can be seen in my albums. The rust pitting on several surfaces is severe. For example, the fore end lever has a multitude of deep pits. I have removed all the rust through several months of soaking. I would like to blue it and am wondering if there is any product that could be used to fill the pits and also accept bluing. Kind of like fiberglass/bondo on a car panel, except the final finish is not paint but gun blue. So, there's the question. Anybody have a magic solution?

Regards,
Jack
