Here are a few photos of a 7 frame top lever 8 gauge. I believe that only the hammerless 8 gauges were limited to the 6 frame max size.

Did they make a six frame top lever 8 gauge ? If I’m not mistaken there are a couple six frame top lever hammers in 10 gauge floating around .

milt you gota shoot some ducks with that big gun season is in right now...it should get them way out there...they tell me even light loads of tungsten beats the old lead loads...I seen my dad he was using a Spanish 10 ga using 3 1/2 inch bb shot take a pair of woodys at least 85 yards....it looked like you had shot them with a 22.....only about 3 shot in each duck boy them bb shot are bad medicine on anything....I used bb shot on turkey till it was not legal..only no 2 shot and smaller is allowed now...anyway were glad your doing ok....charlie

Craig, six frame ten and eight gauge guns that I have seen are top lever hammerless guns. The tens are pretty scarce. I've never seen a #6 frame hammer gun in either ten or eight gauge. Have you? What do we know about #5 frames?
