Here are a few photos of a 7 frame top lever 8 gauge. I believe that only the hammerless 8 gauges were limited to the 6 frame max size.

Did they make a six frame top lever 8 gauge ? If I’m not mistaken there are a couple six frame top lever hammers in 10 gauge floating around .

Charlie, the #7 frame is the most common top lever, hammer eight gauge.

I had planned to buy a couple cases of ammo from RST but ended up buying quite a bit of rifle ammo . Really I need some buckshot loads , the coyotes and bobcats seem to be pretty rampant where we hunt . We found what looked to be tracks from a couple coyotes following the cattle . One print was about 3" in diameter which seems on the large size .

Craig, six frame ten and eight gauge guns that I have seen are top lever hammerless guns. The tens are pretty scarce. I've never seen a #6 frame hammer gun in either ten or eight gauge. Have you? What do we know about #5 frames?
