Pete Kappes has a nice setter that I've hunted over and the dog does well in the cold. When its 20 degrees and windy, the pointers get a little cold. Conversely, when its 60 or higher, and sunny, the longer haired setters get a little too warm. I've hunted over good and bad dogs of all the principal bird dog breeds. It doesn't get much better for me than to hunt prairie birds over good bird dogs.

John Dunkle, why do we get this big block of space on a short post? I've tried to reduce the size and can't.

Yesterday, a quail flew into Charlie's picture window ( yes, we still have wild quail out here) and killed herself, so Charlie put the bird to good use. Shea at ten weeks pointing.

That block of space is supposed to be filled in with more pictures of Charlie's puppy.

OK, I get it. If you post an avatar, then that and the member info block on the left column require a minimum space and your post will also be at least that minimum space. It wouldn't have mattered if I had put another picture of CH's puppies in, it will always be that minimum space.

Next question. We have that embarrassing picture of John Dunkle. How can I post that as his avatar so it can't be removed by him?

You guys ever see Bruce chasing that Cowboy hat across the fields of Kansas? He runs pretty good for a ex pointer man.

John,
A little piece of advice, since it appears you have already made the decision to remove Bruce your not looking for velocity, my suggestion is a 230gr hp 45acp.

Just thought I would Help

John,

I will see you in Lewiston clays shooting with Richard. On another note Bruce is actually a pretty good sport, and he is a lot of fun to hunt with once you get past that he is a Attorney.
