Default The Bird Dog Capital of the World

That is the self proclaimed title of Waynesboro Georgia due to a rich field trial history in the area.

I recently had to opportunity to once again hunt quail on Di-Lane Plantation which is now mananged by the state as a Wildlife Management Area. The 10 annual quota hunts are available via a limited draw/lottery system.

A beautiful day with my son (13) and a good friend resulted in several coveys and included two birds that were radio collared and banded as part of a University of Georgia study.

Poor Mr. Berol, got his wish to be buried with his bird dogs in Georgia, only to have the family take him back to New York. I'll bet he haunts them to this day!

If he don't haunt them I think I will. Half way to NY would be a night mare. SSSSIIIIIIIIISSSSHHHHH.
Charlie; First time I have seen a four legged bird. LOL
