Hmmm. Tried to upload a picture of Daisy (AKA Duckbreath") but it wouldn't take. I will assume that Mr. Dunkle's machinations may be involved, so I will wait until tomorrow and post current pictures

I don't know how to say this, but the church revival was cancelled --- and replaced by a High Mass. Destry (AKA the High Priest) wore out the mallards. I managed to scratch down my share, and as a result, between Destry, our guide and myself we came close to three 6 bird limts.
The Swamp Angel is quite a gun. I believe even I could shoot it well. I was shooting my Dad's M31 Remmie. About 175 years of guns, being shot by about 120 years of gunners. A great shoot, and as you can expect with Destry spinning the yarns, there was not much quiet time in the blind. A few pics - Destry on the lookout, my decoys doing their thing, and Destry and I with the bag.

Boys it was as fine a mallard shoot as a man could wish for. The best shoot I've had all season as a matter of fact.
Big John Dallas can play that pump gun like a fiddle. Toward the end of the evening it was like a demonstration on how to kill a duck graveyard dead in the air. And that rig of decoys, what he didn't mention was he whittled them every one by hand. They're as deadly as that corn sheller he totes around. His little dog Daisy was worn out by the time she picked up what we had floating on the pond. She never missed a beat! She's going to be a dandy duck duck dog for certain. P.S. to John: I don't know who's black duck I ended up with, yours or mine. But the damn thing is the heaviest one I've ever handled. Its twice as big as any of the mallards on my strap. I really want to thank you again for letting me come along on this one.
