Mills ,I am sure it is indeed a nice gun ,most all of them are ! One of my very favorite guns and the one I would keep if an emergency happened at my house and I had to sell guns for cash to survive would be my 20 Ga. BSS Sporter " Made in Japan " ,but I have run into another repro without the Made in Japan stamping and really have no idea what to make of it !

Russ,
I have never seen a Repro stamped "Made in the USA". I have heard of them and believe they may have been very early guns, but, that is hearsay. Bob Jurewicz |

I was under the impression all the actual guns were made in Japan .
I was also under the impression the extra 16 gauge barrels were made in Italy ? Or atleast thats what I read on some forum a couple years back .

Okay Guys ,I have contacted the dealer and ask for an exact reading ,on the left Barrel it is stamped ,"Parker Repro by Winchester ," Under this it says ,E.Elton Ill. USA ! I was incorrect when I said " Made in the USA " So much for my memory ,but close !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!On the Barrel Flats it is stamped IC ,Mod Parker Repro and the Parker Overload Proof marks ,nothing on the Water Table except the serial ,20-05250 ! This gun has a few issues it has had a serious stock repair which really shows poorly ,and it is missing the case etc. other than this ,it is quite eye appealing ,if anyone would have an interest in this gun it is located at the Cabelas Store in Wheeling WV. ! I have no connection to it what so ever ,just interested in the stamping and what the opinions are on the stamping of this firearm !

Original Parker Reproduction 16 G barrels were made in Germany by Krieghoff and are so marked. CSMC had some made for later retrofit. I don't know where Tony had them made.

Most all PR have made in Japan on the right barrel in very small print barely visible where the forend runs along the barrel. If you look real close you will find it...its there on most repro's. I have been told that some did not get the stamping. In the future I suspect some barrels being refinished will have it removed. Personally it does not bother me, the Ohlin-Kodensha plant had very good craftsmen/gunsmiths. Fit and finish is top shelf at a very good price when they were made. I think Tom Skues insisted on perfection for these guns and the proof can be seen in the final product! SXS ohio....Still looking for my DT BHE repro....)-:
