Default Steel Shot Special

Nice one for sale on G.I. Hard to find (I have no connection to this gun). Doesn't have enough triggers though .

Looks like it already sold. Like the 28 ga. Q1/Q2, BT, PG, DT, 14 3/4" LOP that was sold the same day it listed, a couple of weeks ago! You really have to be on the ball with these Repros, or someone else will snap the desirable ones up!

I realize it's a chocolate vs. vanilla thing, but what is it about a 28 with DT's, PG and a beavertail forend that some find appealing?

Greg, I've had 28 ga. Parker Repros with straight grip/splinter forend, and with PG/BT forend. I found the latter configuration way easier to swing smoothly. For me, the straight grip/splinter forend in a 28 ga. Repro is too muzzle light and whippy for a consistently good swing and follow through. As far as double triggers go, all my guns with 2 barrels have 2 triggers !

How's your brother enjoying the 20 gauge I sold him?

All valid points Joe.

Regarding my brother . . . I guess he enjoys looking at it. About a week after buying your gun he bought another as new identically configured 20-ga. Repro, (26" bbls., IC/M, DT, SG, SPL) and to my knowledge hasn't shot either. Although I don't remember it, he must have been dropped as a baby.

Parker repro's are great investment items! I think a good many repro sets are tucked away for the future. Good guns always go up with inflation unlike keeping cash or shakey stocks. Like other collectibles when the price is high they come out of the woodwork for sale but when the price tank they vanish. I have been looking for a BH repro with double triggers and just can't find one. The repro market is still soft for run of the mill guns, but is getting close to its high time for hard to find ones. Maybe that BH 20 with DT will come my way soon. I like to invest in guns... they are a thing of beauty and a joy to own. I grew up hunt-n and fish-n and I don't collect gitars......Thanks all (-: SXS ohio
