Boy, it's hard to believe this will be the 11th year. Will the special SC event be open to all shooters or just us SxS guys? See you all there.

The special sporting clays event is only open to SxS shooters. All SxS guns are allowed, not restricted to any manufacturer. Gary Laudermilch has informed me that his team is no longer active. I'll find another local SCTP team or perhaps a PGCA member can recommend a team.

Chuck - What is "Looney Lewis"? Am looking for a better way to divide up our pot at our charity shoot.

Thx.

Big D, the Looney Lewis is pretty simple. Break down the Looney just like a regular Lewis. Then you draw a number from 1 to 100 until it matches one of the scores in the Looney. That score then is 1st place class 1 Looney and the rest of the scores follow in line from the next lowest score back to the highest and down to the next highest score above the chosen number.

Lets say you have 10 scores-

90
87
85
80
75
72
66
60
54
37

You then draw a #66, the Looney goes like this-

66
60
54
37
90
87
85
80
75
72

It's just an even more random way to score and pay a Lewis Class. We came up with that years ago at Rock Mountain and it gets just as much play as the regular Lewis Class. Most guys like it because the HOA shooter does not always win the Looney too.

I have an MBA in mathematical problem solving from Wharton, and that makes my head hurt!

John, I kind of borrowed "Loony Lewis" from Mr. Koneski but I don't do the special event like Mike does. He tried to explain it to me and my head started hurting too. Mike has his first class picked at random, then follows the normal way a Lewis is figured (I think). My way takes the figuring out completly. The top score gets 25% of the total. I have 20 ping pong balls, 2 are labeled 0, 2 are labeled 1, and the same up to 9. I pick 1 ball, that is the first digit, then pick a second ball and that is the second digit. That number represents a score and if it matches a score posted, he gets 25%. I do this 2x more times if I pay out 3 places plus the high score. Sometimes it takes time pulling balls until I hit a score that was shot but it's pretty easy. The system works assuming no one shoots 100 x 100.

My way takes the figuring out completely.

Yeahhhh, it sure sounds that way your eminence!!

Schroedinger's equation is less complex than that labyrinth of yours!!
(Add to that, that a guy named Koneski is credited with the formation of a complex, mathematical formula!!!

I don't know pal, but it sounds to me like you have one too many balllzzz in the air????

Two and a half weeks to go so I'm bringing it to the top. Lambs Creek is no longer running so we are substituting the Youth Hunter Education Club of Bradford Co.
