As men left Kansas to fight, many came to Kansas for aviation training, and some stayed after meeting a Kansas cutie

One of my uncles was an instructor at the Naval Air Station in Olathe. A student pilot was on a training flight, and tried to fly low over his family's house in Independence. Crashed the plane.
