Default Anyone make an actual fitted shotgun case?

I know Huey and othercustom case makers will do it,but that is out of my budget. So does anyone make a quality shotgun case that is actually fitted for a double barrel rather than just having the leather strap and inserts to move around without having to go custom?

Edgar Spencer makes some beautiful cases but I'm not sure if he sells them.

Edgar always made them to order and when the outside was finished he would ask that the gun be sent to him in order to make the custom-fitted interrior.

Does he still make them by request? Only Edgar can answer that question.

He stopped by here yesterday for coffee and some pleasant conversation to break the monotony of his 7 hour drive to Moosehead... but our conversations only brushed on case making.

He makes some beautiful 16 gauge spreader loads and they're so finely done with perfect roll-crimps I almost don't want to use them... but I know he'll be pissed if I don't.

He gave me a handful of 12 ga. spreaders a while back too. I can say with confidence they're the most effective spreaders I've used, way better than anything I have ever bought. Edgar is a very sharp guy and it shows in everything he does, we're lucky to have him lurking around here.

I can vouch for Edgars cases, if you want a wooden case he is the man, to refurbish a English oak and leather, Kevin McCormick is your man, they both do excellent work! I have used them both and they are reasonable, Gary

Jon Sheets (PGCA Member) makes custom & semi-custom shotgun cases. Send him a personal message & ask to see his work.

King, I make custom cases out of Walnut or cherry woods. Gary Carmichael has a couple.

Default Custom case

I used FEI Guncases to make several nice fitted cases for hammer double rifles I was shooting plus one SXS shotgun case. They are in Wi and are still there. Moderate price and good work. Ck out their website

I have made some from pianos. I am making one for a grade 5 hammer gun now. If you have some saws, tools and are so inclined it is satisfying. Here are some pictures even though it is not complete it is getting close.
