Default Parker DHE Stock

I am looking at a Parker DHE that has had the stock cut and one of the old style aluminum and rubber trap pads put on. The stock has a crack on the side. Other than this, it is a very nice gun and I can pick it up for $3100. My question is, what do you guys think a replacement stock would cost? And, where could I find one? I appreciate any help you can give me.

It might be easier to put a Silvers pad on it even if you have to add a small spacer. From my understanding its difficult to find a DHE stock that would fit into your receiver as the inletting at the head of the stock is difficult to match up. A new stock would be $4000+ depending on the blank chosen.

I think a decent stock can be nicely made for quite a bit less than COB's estimate. I know COB has had some made for his guns and they are works of art but there are less expensive options available.

Yes they can be made for less but bottom line, on a good stock job it will be about $2000 and if you put a SSBP on it you just jumped your cost up another 350 to 500 plus the cost of the buttplate So if you want the gun to shoot and enjoy go for it and really enjoy the gun, but don't plan on getting your cost out of the gun if you sell the gun.

If you can forward pictures of the gun it would help. The bottom line is if you like the gun and are comfortable with the cost thats all that really matters.

Without seeing pictures that is hard to tell but with what you have said I think there are better guns out there, 12 ga is the most common gauge and there are pleny of them out there for sale
