Default Quail hunting

Dad and I went quail hunting in Ehrhart, SC yesterday. Good fun. Got to try out my VH 20 with straight grip on real birds. Unfortunately, Sherwood did not get to hunt, but he did get to sniff a quail and that got him excited.

Sherwood looks pretty cranked up at what he’s sniffing!

In my experience, nothing tightens a pointing dog better than a covey of wild quail.

Good for you and your Dad Mills. Looks like the kind of weather we need around here to cheer everyone up. Temps in the teens this morning and almost 50 tomorrow. You're lucky !

Sherwood slid his ears back to make room for more scent. Love it. Gerald

It was great weather for quail hunting. It was cold enough to keep down the critters, but nice and sunny.
