Default High Plains Dove Opener

Hot and no cold front to push birds south so working the local birds only. Still hunting was fine and a good start to the season.

4. I wear tall boots with pant legs in because of this.

5. Jimson weed

7. Squall coming fast

Nice. Great pics. Those are some cool looking snake boots that are rivaling Mark Ray's

Very nice! My nephew and I had a great first weekend here in Oklahoma, lots of birds and good weather. My VH 16 ga didn't let me down. I used my high dollar Italian 12 ga SXS Sat and the Parker Sunday. Even with the 2 1/2" low pressure 16 ga RST's, my kill rate was much better with the Parker. Wish I could find some 16 ga non toxic shells to use on federal reserves where lead shot is not allowed.

Bruce, I think I bought some of that Goat Weed at a gas station bathroom dispensary.

Michael Kitterman, Richard Flanders just posted a link to Rio shotgun shells. I thought I saw bismuth loaded in 16 gauge. Also, RST has 16 ga bismuth shells. That would be my choice.
