Default GHE 12 gauge with cut barrel.

I had not noticed before Remington markings on a GHE 12 gauge with a cut barrel. The markings indicate I believe 1944. There are some additional markings that I am not sure of. Difficult to say what the gun went back to Remington for but appreciate feedback.

I have no idea, but I do find quite a few barrel flats with a one, two or three figure marking in that general area -- 3o, 147, 153, 1B, and some with a glyph that looks a bit like a fat I. Probably more with nothing in that area
