Mark, I made you a contact, so you should be able to view the album.

Jeff,
I could easily find your album and would be happy to look over your Parker. It would however be even easier to find if all I had to do was to click on a web link posted in one of you posts. That is all I ask... This is an example in which I wanted to share photos with my PGCA fellows. In the third post from the top I posted three links to past threads with photos to share. I did this not asking for any help, just to share the beauty or those guns in the past threads. http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthr...hlight=strosin Mark

HI Jeff,
Thanks for the link! I do not think that your gun was made by Parker Brothers in Meriden Connecticut. 1. Notice how the hinge pin is smooth with the action rather than recessed? 2. There is engraving on the bottom of the barrel lugs. Parker lugs are hidden by the trigger plate. 3. The work Laminated on the top rib would be Laminated Steel on a Parker. 4. There should be a Parker Bros. on the side of the locks. Did anyone else see anything that I missed? Those locks and head of the stock do however look like our Parker Brothers guns. Mark

My Great, Great was an Austrian gunsmith, so the gun could be a lot of things.

Jeff,
Yes it is what it is and it may be a decent "shooter" gun! If the proof marks are British it might be a pretty decent hammer gun. If however they are Belgium proofs if may be a good gun or Another Belgium Clun.... (ABC), well you can figure that out. Take it to a doublegun shoot and show it around. Mark

Austrian? Now there you may have something!
If you don't get a firm answer here on the proof marks post a photo of them on the doublegunshop.com forum. There you will get an overload of info on a European gun! Mark
