In times of economic turmoil you would think big ticket items would be on the cool side but not the truely rare items such as the world record revolutionary Tomahawk Pipe that sold for an astounding $664,220 at Morphy's . The opening bid was north of 200K WOW!!!!

I saw on FB where the 20ga. FE sold for $130,000 + BP. one fine looking shotgun.

Thanks big guy. My middle class mindset would have a huge problem on spending that kind of moola on something I can't shoot or live in.

It is almost beyond belief that a quotidian artifact of that era was so beautifully embellished and finished and has remained in such pristine condition for over 250 years. Truly a work of art and, given its provenance, one of the few of its kind justifying the catalog description of "important." Makes me want to smoke a fine imported cigar, just looking at it.
