Default Bertuzzi Collection

So I bought a pair of vintage Boyt leather soft gun cases on e-Bay from a guy who said he carried a couple of Bertuzzi pigeon guns in them back in the day. I had never heard of the brand, so Googled it and ...Wow! I am floored! Only 12 Bertuzzi Gullwings were made in the world, and never again! Griffin and Howe now owns 8 of them. And I thought Clapton's Hollands were over the top. These, to me, just defy description. http://griffinhowe.com/f-lli-bertuzzi.
At least I can afford to shoot lower grade Parkers!

The Clapton guns are just unique engraving. The gullwing is a unique design carried out to high standards. Bertuzzi also made a rounded Anson & Deeley boxlock called the Orione--very sleek.

The Sparviere https://shootingsportsman.com/berettas-new-sparviere/ is Beretta's copy of the Bertuzzi gullwing.

I have had people give me guff about hunting with a $2500 Walnut stocked Cooper rifle, and dragging it through the sagebrush and rocks.... I'd just love to take one of those on a mud choked duck hunt.

Beautiful guns, I've looked at before, much in the same way I look at a Ferrari or Lambourgini...

Bertuzzi makes some of the finest guns in the world. While the gull wings are wildly expensive, they make many in the mid range on par with British best guns, for quite a bit less. Beyond Bertuzzi, there are other very good, well known Italian makers like Fausti making excellent guns for very reasonable prices. I have a Poli 16 gauge SxS that is my favorite gun and bought at a very reasonable price. I shoot it better than anything I’ve ever owned.

The Bertuzzi brothers stopped making guns several years ago. They were getting old and their sons weren't interested in taking over the business.
Then I heard about a year ago that one of the sons or grandsons was going to start up the business again. haven't heard anything since then.
Bertuzzi guns are very well made and elegant as well. I have one of their hammer guns. A favorite of mine.
Joe, I also have a 16ga. Poli and it too is a favorite!

Mike, what length barrels on your Poli? Mine are 32 in. I was so happy to find that gun!

Joe, 32" 16 ga. Wow first one at that length I've ever heard of.
My 16 ga. is a 28" model.
I have two other Poli's as well. A 32" 12ga. SxS Pigeon Gun with Briley chokes, that I use at Sporting Clays at times.
I also have a 30" 12 ga. SxS with double triggers that fits me well and I sometimes use it for Pheasants and Sharptails.

It’s the first I’ve heard of as well. I wish they made more. That’s a great collection of Polis you have. If you ever get tired of that 12 ga with 32 in barrels, just let me know:-)
