Wow...Yikes...Whew...(Okay, someone help me come up with another, better word!!). I'm not sure there is a better combination than: Parker-16 gauge-Bernard barrels.

I am always interested in these small bore Bernard barreled guns. About 16 were made in 16 ga, 12 in 20 and 2 in 28. I had accounted for three of the 16’s with two existent and one destroyed. Then to my surprise Steve Barnett had one come in unexpectantly at the Southern. In modest but unaltered condition, he had a price of $22,000 on it.

Like me he had not heard of any of the 20 gauges.

However, of the two 28 ga Bernard’s , a 26” and a 30 “ , he informed me that the 26” passed through his hands about ten years ago for $70,000. Nothing known about the 30”.

The white grouse still flies.

Default 16 gauge

Bruce you do have some fine Hardware. I had a DH 12 Bernard on a 1 1/2 frame several years ago and let it slip away. Another Parker guy in Tx now owns but I wish I had kept it to at least be able to say" Hey I own a Bernard Barreled Parker " It was a nice gun " One of those "Why did I do that?" It's OK I've managed to pick up some 30" bbl small gauge I dearly love to own, shoot and write about in PP. Isn't that what it's all about!! As I age the expression "No Regrets comes to mind more often. Thx for sharing your fine Parker.
