Herb: Parker SN 46928 shows in "THE BOOK" as a "D3 (Grade 3 or D grade) toplever, no extras, capped PG stock, 12 gauge w/ 26" barrels. I would venture it to be somewhat of a rarity.

A 1 frame grade 3 12g with factory 26" barrels... What a gun!

You are a lucky man....
I have the same configuration grade 3 with 28" bbls and it is a joy to shoot. It is SN 35XXX weighing in at 6lbs 14oz and open chokes. Great gun for close to medium range sporting clays. Kurt

Definitely a rarity and on the 1-Frame could even be unique.

D grade
Thanks for all the help, but the bores on this D are heavily pitted and very thin. I know it needs to go to a barrel specialist to figure out if it can even be shot,I suspect not.I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. I will try to post some pictures later today or tomorrow. Herb

My dream gun! I have one in a grade 2 but a 3. I love the 1-frame 12ga guns. They carry like a 16.

This gun, even with unusable barrels, is a candidate for rehabilitation into a great shooting gun. I would prefer sleeving, but a less expensive alternative would be Briley tubes in 20 or 28 gauge that would put this gun back into action.
