Update as of November 4:
The doctor says that Frank is progressing as expected, but still doesn't know the extent of the brain injury. Brenda asks for prayer and specifically for each of the areas of healing that is needed.
He is moving his left arm and making plenty of facial expressions. Also moving both of his feet a little bit. No movement of his right arm at all. Pray for consistent and on command movement.
Chest x-ray is much better today as far as the pneumonia goes. Tylenol seems to be controlling fever. Pray for the antibiotic to continue treating the pneumonia.
He does have some GI upset and they are providing medications to help.
Continue to pray for his eyes to completely heal.
Pray for him to be able to come off of the ventilator again as he has been on it continuously since Sunday's setbacks (pneumonia, BP, kidneys).
Pray for Frank's caregivers who are working diligently with Frank on this journey.
When Frank has met certain criteria he can be transferred to what's called an LTAC, which is a long term acute care hospital. Fortunately the closest one to them is Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg. They have already put in a referral and as soon as the doctors feel that he is stable enough to move (which is not going to be awhile), he will hopefully be coming to Lynchburg. Another prayer to add to the list.

GoFundMe Update:
Thank you does not adequately say it all. The tremendous outpouring of love, care, prayers and donations is astounding. As of this morning (11.5.20 @ 7am) the GFM is at $18,050 (goal $30,000). What a wonderful group we have who are so willingly supporting this humble, giving family in their darkest time.

Remember if you don't wish to use GoFundMe, you can mail a donation to the club which will be deposited in the bank account opened for them. Have checks made payable to: Frank Davis Family. Mail to: Brushy Mountain Club, 1813 Izaak Walton Rd., Hurt, VA 24563 or drop in safe. ($3,465 collected at the club so far.)

Frank is progressing in his recovery. There is good news to report from the last several days:
Frank has been moved into a step-down floor from the intensive care (last Sunday)
Looking for insurance approval and available room to move to Lynchburg.
They have started Frank with speech therapy. This is hard since his jaws are wired shut so this presents additional challenges. He is trying to use his voice.
They know he is seeing something with his eyes, but not sure what at this time. He has not been awake enough to evaluate vision.
He continues to nod to questions and does follow some commands.
As with every brain injury there are up and down days and up and down times during every day. Frank is trending upward every day that goes by.
Brenda asks that you pray for Frank to continue to have up days and that his days show him responding more to commands from everyone (Brenda, Drs., therapists). He needs to be a little further along before he can be considered for TBI rehab as he needs to be able to participate in therapy in order to go to the TBI centers. Also, pray for his eyes to heal.

Also we need to remember to pray for Brenda and Jacob. They carry a tremendous weight on their shoulders and in their hearts. Pray for his Drs, nurses, therapists and caregivers to provide everything that Frank needs.

Thank you to everyone who has helped in any way to support Frank, Brenda and Jacob. Whether through prayer, visits, just a note and financial gifts.

GoFundMe Update: Current status - $ 27,455
BMC Collections: $12,065

What an outpouring of love from so many people. Club members, other shooting friends and clubs, friends of the Davis family .... all together in support of this friend of ours.

Thank you so much.
