Default new Grouse and Woodcock book

just curious-
i received an email from Wind River Press this morning saying this new book was about to ship, I must have missed the pre-sale announcement

https://www.wildriverpress.com/produ...d-river-press/

I wondered if anyone here knows anything more than it says on there about the book or author

I got the same email Rick.

I tend to gravitate to the old books not so much the newer ones. Not to say I haven't bought new books on subjects I'm interested in. But there have been a lot of new books in recent years on grouse and woodcock.... can you say "over-kill"

agreed - I've been going through the shelves lately and getting out some I have not read in a couple years - just finished rereading the grouse/woodcock anthology set Bare November Days and Come October

BUT- I did buy those new at one point

I am very tempted by it. Wild River Press seems to put a lot of effort into their books

Wild River puts out a quality book.
I have most of his hunting books.
If any of you are interested in the Civil War they have a great one.

I ordered the book last week and it arrived today. It is impressive, larger format with a lot of nice photos. I can not vouch for the writing as I have not yet had a chance to sit down with it and get to know its contents, but it does appear to be a well put together work on the subject.
Will give additional updates as I have time read through it.

Well, I just ordered it myself. I think we all need something to cheer ourselves up.
