Hello,
I'm new to the site but not to firearms. I have been into guns all of my life. I hunt and fish as much as I can! Which is a lot since I retired this year.

I inherited my great grandfather's 1907 Parker VHE 12 with 30" full and full. It was WELL USED in South Dakota for 90 years before it came home with me. My son will get her and my father's 1957 Superposed when I'm done with them.

Congratulations on your retirement! I retired 1 1/2 years ago and I still don't have enough time to devote exclusively to hunting and fishing as I had always hoped.

I just received my PGCA letter for my Great grandfather's Parker serial # 147002, in record time I might add! I was incorrect on two counts. It was shipped in 1908, not 1907 and it is a VH, not VHE.

Thank you Mr. Bishop!

Welcome to the PGCA. Did you great grand father buy the gun new? That's a family heirloom to be treasured

I have no way of knowing for sure, but assume he did. From what I understand, he was a hard core bird hunter. He died in 1929. I do have a picture of him sitting in front of the General store on a Winchester ammo box, with 2 bird dogs hold what appears to be a Model 12 in Mound City, SD.

Funny thing was I went there in 1995 and the storefront looked exactly the same! I wish I had recreated the scene with my 2 labs! A few seasons later some redecorated and ruined it.
