I was with Mike at Rock Mountain yesterday morning when Chuck called him after the mishap and we briefly spoke. Chuck sounded sharp and positive and again I offer up my best wishes for a successful procedure.

Chuck called at 9:00 this morning. Said he had about an hour of sleep between the pain and the constant visits from the nursing staff. The meds were definitely working as conversation was truly interesting. They will be doing a partial hip replacement as there was no damage to the acetabulum. He's still waiting for surgery and said he is going to try and get some sleep. I told him not to worry, he's going to get some good sleep when they wheel him into surgery and that chicks dig scars.

Chuck, get well soon. I have had two hip replacements, both intact after many years. The replacement surgery was uneventful as was the healing. Unfortunately, I don't take to physical therapy very well. I hope your recovery is as easy as mine was. Murphy

Good luck buddy. Say... while you are in there see if they can do anything about that flinch of yours.

Dean, I think we’ll just have Chuck stay in our extra room. No stairs, just dogs. That way he can have the puter and printer by his side at all times. 24/7 just as he likes it. He would get to experience real pot pie, crust on top and bottom. Nix besser Chuck!!

But what would Margaret do without her Chuckles???
