Steve, perhaps I was a bit too harsh in my wording. What I was trying to say is they don't have the flow in their design of the action that a Parker or Fox has. To my eye the Ithaca Flues look boxy, square. They don't for me hold the same eye appeal as the others. By the way, if you're still interested in that 20 ga I have, I'll speak with my son in law about it and see if I can prevail upon him to let go his claim. My grandson has 6 more years to go before he gets his first gun (I was 12 when my dad gave me my single barrel 410) so Logan can wait till he's 12. Between now and then, I should be able to find a nice Parker 20 or 28 ga for him (or Fox) or they can get one for him from my estate if I'm not around. Let me know if you still have interest and I'll talk with Craig (my son in law).

I will definitely check it more when I go back down there. I did not take off the forearm last time. Looked the whole stock over and I saw no cracks. Looking to trade a gun for it might not even have to pay anything. Probably get it this week or the next if it is not gone. Not to worried it has been sitting there a long time.

My neighbor had a 1-1/2 grade 16ga flues that had a blued over receiver. I told him it was worth $600 tops on the national market. He sold it at a gun show here in Fairbanks for $1200 !! Go figure. Way more than I thought it was worth.
