Thank You for that estimated range of a DT 12SS!

So, these guns would fall roughly in the same range as a clean DHE 20gauge PR guns, although many more 20's were produced than 12"s, and many, many, more than the 350 12SS guns that were produced? I suppose there is a far greater demand for PR DHE 20's?

I think that's low. I gladly paid $5,000 for my 3" chambered, 28" IC/Mod bbls, DT/SPL/ STG 14 3/4" LOP 12 ga. For an SSS, I'd say $5,500-$6,000 is more realistic. Very few were made!

A friend of mine purchased a high-conditioned 12-ga. DHE Parker Repro with 28" bbls., 3" chambers, choked IC/M, SG, SPL, DT with a very attractively figured French Walnut 14 3/4" LOP stock at The Southern about 3 or 4 years ago. Told me he salivated over it all weekend while it sat on a dealer's table with its $4K price tag. On Sunday afternoon he couldn't take it anymore, sauntered over to the dealer's table and wrote the check. It wasn't until after he got home did he realize that what he had bought was a Steel Shot Special.

Now that's a deal. Good thing he bought it, he'd have a hard time duplicating that price today!

We all like a deal!....These scarce repro's and other collectable guns do not fall in your lap. Guys like me who want the hard to find ones go on line to get them. That said we pay closer to the retail or going price, market value at the time. If the price is not too high like the one this thread is about we justify it and pay the price. I did not pay the asking price but close...I am happy with the deal, the seller was happy also or he would have not sold it. The gun is just what I like them to be. I paid more than 5k but less than the asking price of 5500.00 for a gun that has it all....condition, wood, built the way I would order it. So when Jerry asked value of a similar gun that is nice but not NIB I had a real good feel for the ball park he asked for. Yes guns that so few were made can out-perform the normal numbers. I see marlin Davidsons SS LTD lever guns selling right now for 7 to 8 times production retail price. They made 250 of each caliber=1000 guns total. thanks all...SXS ohio

Hi Joe...good to her from you. This gun 12SS with double triggers is scarce indeed....the gun will be hard to duplicate. The price maybe, maybe not? The market is a flat line right now, still not up to the hi times we saw prior to 2008 but much better than it was. We can all hope things do get better if you plan to sell. Now is a good time to buy...(-: Kenny
