Default John Davis at the Grand American

Here’s our own John Davis on the firing line in Sparta, Illinois shooting for “Champion of Champions” shooting his SA SBT.

Dead bird after dead bird !! Seems like he can’t miss!

Best of Luck John! You are truly one of the Parker “Iron Men of Gundom”!!

The event is over except for ties with 100 x 100. How did John do?

Finally found the scores online. John missed 1 target on his second trap for a 99 x 100. Lots of 100 x 100 scores posted. John, you made us old trapshooters and the Parker community proud!

It was a joy to watch John "SMOKE", literally, those birds. There was at least one other Parker trap gun at the shoot in the bunch that was watching John but not being shot... Wow what a gun. I'll leave it at that cause I suspect there may be an article about it.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that other Parker SBT was Mike Franzen’s SB which he did shoot. I’ll post a new thread on Mike shooting.

John Davis was shooting his SA but we don’t know which forend he used or how it ended up…

I decided I just couldn’t risk shooting the SB with the crack, mentally that is. So I went with the SA, which I’ve been doing pretty good with. The miss was all on me, no excuses. I don’t think I gave anything up leaving the SB at home.

At any rate, I achieved my goal. I didn’t finish in last place.
