I think $1495.00 is a fair price for a Parker SC in original condition. What do other posters think?

Sure Bill, at that price I might buy a half-dozen.

YES, spot on! That's what I came up with, or at least under $1500, even for a 90% gun. The asking price of the one offered to me was $3900, nearly 3 times as much.

I will say, with the engraving and the quality of production, it really does look like a 4k gun--UNTIL you do your research.

At $1,500.00, I would buy every original condition Parker SC I could lay my hands on. That's more the price range of an Ithaca Flues 4E. I'm going to say the average price for a Parker SC in original condition is more like 3 grand. And that's a bargain for the quality of the gun.

It all depends on how badly one wants one of these SC's

Looks like a nice gun but something is up with the vent rib.

It is difficult to find a good Parker SBT in C grade that is not hacked up too bad for under $3k.

Often ones at auctions that are very badly cut up sell for $1,300-$1700.

Good ORIGINALS can be found for under $3000 but they are rare.

I thought the OP was going to say his friends asking price was $10,000. $3900 is a fair starting point if the gun is unaltered condition. Maybe, it could be bought for 3300 or even a little less. I would look closely at the stocks. It’s hard to find an SBT that doesn’t have an “improved” stock. A $1500 original SBT is probably hot.
