Default Corona impacts

The Procter & Gamble Paper Products Company plant at Mehoopany PA was at one time (and perhaps still is) the largest consumer paper products facility in the US. The plant makes facial and toilet tissue, paper towels, disposable diapers and some other Company product lines. Here's a clip from one of our local papers; pic taken on Monday and self explanatory. This is at a turn into the Distribution Warehouse referred to, and a friend told me the trucks were sidelined well over the top of that hill. The huge Warehouse has at least 100 truck loading doors. Wow!

Expand pic to read the detail; that's a drink coaster at the top …..

One of the local CostCos had a line from the front doors, along the front of the building and down the side this morning before the doors opened. Most grocery stores around here are out of pasta, beans, and caned staples.

Hey, I’ve got 3-rolls of 2-ply Charmin and a pint of hand sanitizer that I’ll trade for a 20/32 DHE.

as I replied to this on the Fox board -->

unreal

went to town this morning- hoping to get paper towels - I am house breaking a puppy- great timing

the paper goods - water and meat departments were pretty much cleaned out- signs for paper goods and water say 2 to a customer but people were rushing to those areas with empty carts and filling up- one guy was in line with 8 of the large cases of bottled water - dollars to donuts he has public water at home

short tempers in the parking lot vying for close spots

i feel for those truckers - long boring days - hope its overtime

but to quote the governor I want New Yorkers to know that I'm not urging calm. I'm urging reality.

Went to Wegman's nearby about an hour ago...ours has 24 cashier lanes - only ONE was closed; next to sanitizer and paper goods, the wine & beer sections were humming. My wife goes nearly every day when it opens (06:30) and said this AM was just like what I experienced an hour ago. Next went to Giant Pharmacy to pick up a prescription - same deal there. HAPPY SELF-QUARANTINE!!

well -finally at least some good news out of this

just got an email - from one of the wineries where we participate in their 'wine club" discount program -

"not going anywhere for a while" -- they'll ship cases of wine to your house - free shipping

Be careful about using paper towels which are going to end up in the sewer. They won't dissolve like TP. Could result in a big Roto Rooter bill

Been there, done that. It’s painful at a number of levels.
