Bill,
I fear to disagree! I own a number of st st/ bvt guns and do not find them attractive at all! To me they seem like a mismatch. I just don't think they look right together and don't feel balanced in hand. I know I've just opened a can of controversial worms but I would be interested in other's opinions. Bob Jurewicz |

Except for the single trigger, I really love my little 28 ga. Repro.
This one has double triggers.... one for each barrel - how novel. . |

+1 for the beavertail 28 ga. I've had 28 gauges with splinter, and with beavertail fore ends, and I much prefer the beavertail. I once had a 28" DT/BT/straight grip 28 ga with gorgeous wood that I should be shot for ever having parted with. Here is a pic of my current 28 ga. that my wife has confiscated. She really loves it!

The straight grip beavertail Repros are a close duplicate of the original Parker skeet guns. I think they are very attractive, especially in 28 gauge. The gun offered for sale presently is one great gun with most of what we want in a Repro.

Without running numbers, I would say the BT-DT configured guns are pretty rare. What, one in twenty, one in forty? I would not want to have to come up with a nice example in the next few weeks, irrespective of price.

Joe, Kathy has one too - BTFE, PG, DT, 26" Q1 & Q2.
To be quite honest, I borrow her barrels and forend sometimes to put on my 28 ga. Repro for skeet and early grouse and woodcock. That picture above is with Kathy's barrels and forend. They are fully interchangable.... some others may not be but I think most Repros, within the same gauge, are. |
