Default Baker Batavia Leader

I bought a 16 gauge today 30'' barrels and a Fulsom gun. Does anybody know if they came with recoil pads or is this one added on. Length of pull is about 15''.

The H & D Folsom Arms Co. catalogues I have list a "Soft Rubber Recoil Pad" as a $5.50 option on the Paragon, Expert and DeLuxe Grade Baker doubles and the Baker single barrel trap guns, but no mention of a recoil pad as an option on the Batavia Leader or the Black Beauty Special.

Nice. I've been on the hunt for a 16ga myself, but I haven't been able to locate one in the appropriate price range. Everybody has them priced higher than an LC Smith of the same quality, for which I will never agree should be the case. Looks like you found a nice one. Enjoy.

Certainly should be less than L.C. Smith. I got a Spanish 20 gauge as well but I never heard of JANA-DENVER CO.

I found a Batavia Leader in almost new condition about a year ago. I was a later gun but looked like it was wiped with oil, wrapped up and left in a closet for 80 years. Very tight and almost no wear. The varnish was a little crazed but the metal was perfect.
