Default Opinions on fair market value of a VHE .410

I have a friend that is very interested in a VHE .410 listed on Guns America by Vintage Firearms Grand Rapids MI (#972217194). I am out of the loop when trying to figure out a fair value on a .410. I would appreciate any opinions on the value of this gun in the current economic conditions. Please feel free to PM me if you like. The gun is correct according to the serialization book. It has a red front bead that I am not familiar with. A pad has been fitted to the buttstock but the original buttplate also fits.

Thanks for any feedback.

Asa: If the gun is in average condition and unmolested the value would be somewhere between $12,000 & $15,000 IMHO. Higher if 60% condition & lower if 40% or less.

Best Regards, George

Asa,
Looked at the ad. Very nice gun in great original condition. I don't think the asking price is that far off the mark for a 410 with ejectors. There are a few 410's currently available. A member of this group had a skeet single trigger gun for sale a while back for the mid to high $20K range. Galazans also had a very nice one. I don't believe your going to find much available in the price range that George mentioned.

PS Took another look and noticed screw misallignment on the larger side receiver screws.

Did Julia's recently sell a couple of .410s or was it another house?

Quick check of Julia results: March 2011, VH-$21850.00, CHE upgrade-$29900.00; Oct. 2010, VHE skeet-$27025.00; Oct. 2009, GHE-$33350.00, VHE skeet-$26450, VHE Turnbull,$18400.00. I know of a VH that sold privately a few months ago for $27000.00 and a VHE for $24000.00.

Default VHE .410

Asa,

Jay Shachter here from Vintage Firearms. Call me on the Parker if you still have an interest. I can work with you on the price. This is a very nice, original Parker, and a good value as .410 ejector guns go.

Just looked at a very nice AIS 410 upgrade by Delgrego/Runge as new for $23K
Did not buy it but an "almost"original Remington Parker at a good price. Hope this helps.
George,if you find a VHE 410 at that price I want it!!
