Default Question regarding Parker Shotgun?

I was wondering is someone could provide a little information on this Parker, possible value. It is a Parker 20g, Ser #68063, Dates March 16, 1875, engraving on both side and botton plate of I believe pheasants and one site ducks. Serial number match on base plate and stock plate, stock plate marked 2, 68063, G, Pat. Jan 18th - Aug 16 1887, May 7-Oct.8 1889. Barrels seem to have been replaced with ESC-Vickers Works, Nickle Steel maked with Finito, P-105, 20g 2-3/4. Gun is in great shape wood excellent with most engraving still very good shape, blueing is good on barrels and bores are in great shape. Functions flawlessly shot 4 rounds of skeet for test and broke over 20 every round.

Gary, it is likely to be a valuable Parker despite the replacement barrels. A good many Parkers that were made with Damascus or composite barrels now sport Vickers barrels.

You should order a PGCA Research Letter on your Parker.

Early Parkers with composite (Damascus or Twist Steel) barrels replaced with European made fluid steel barrels are valued by the condition of the original gun and the quality of the replacement barrels and the fit of those barrels. All value is not always lost when this improvement is done to an original gun. However, collectors are not interested in such guns.
