Hello,
I'm a new subscriber and wanted to ask for some insight. A couple of years ago my father brought down my Great Grandfather's 1910 Hamerless VH grade 12 gage from his home in Canada to mine in Southern California. Unfortunately he didn't pack it well and there is a small dent in one of the barrels. This combined with the afct that 95% od the barrel finish is gone made me think of restoration. The gun has a butt plate that's also broken with only 1/2 remaining and a 1 inch chip in the side of the stock where it meets the butt plate. Everything else looks good but it has not been fired in 50 years or more and was extremely dirty when I got it.
Any thoughts on restoration and anybody know who can repair my original barrels? Also looking for some guidance on the butt plate.
Thanks and I'm very much enjoying the info on the forum/site.
