Default I wonder who got it...

That pretty little DHE 16 ga. with the straight grip on gunbroker?

I was trying to determine if the barrels left Meriden at 26" or at 28".

I know what the serialization book says... but it also says the gun was made with a CPG.

Being an uneducated Parker guy can you tell me why you think it didn't sell?

You have made my day, Dean. I am an absolute nervous wreck right now, so it's really nice to know someone with your knowledge level was also interested. If EVER I would want a letter ASAP this is the one.

Turns out the listing was a mess - 26" barrels, no mention of ejectors, and the LOP was pretty short. I called and asked about the barrels as soon as the store opened. After a few questions the guy who answered measured them again - turns out both the barrel length and LOP were not listed correctly on GB. Barrels are actually 28" and LOP past the pad is 14-1/2". The gun should be here first of next week, and yes - a letter has been ordered.

What does everyone think about the stock configuration? The book says CPG. If that trigger guard isn't original then someone spent some coin having it fashioned and engraved.

Because there were no bids on the gun on the net. It is possible, however, that the gun was sold over the counter, and not thru Gunbroker. If that's the case, we would not know.

Nice looking gun. Looks like it might have a lot of drop at heel.

Hey Will, Congratulations if you are the lucky new owner.

What a mess that dealer created with posting the wrong barrel length.... else it would be mine right now.

That stock is absolutely a correct Parker Bros. (Meriden) stock - no question in my mind.

You win some - you lose some.... this was one I lost

It might just be the photography but the stock looks like it has a lot of pitch to it. That old pad reminds me of one that was on one of my guns, crushed beyond use.
Congrats to Will. I'm rifle poor and haven't adopted a shotgun in almost a year
