Default Finially found a Parker hunt picture

My second ever wild turkey taken in 1988. The load was 3 1/2 drahms of FFF-g and1 1/8 oz of #2 shot. Taken at 25 yards.

Great picture. A good way to get all turkey hunter's pumped up. The Mississippi season opens the 14th. Need to practice my yelping. Since I am widowed there nobody to say don't do that in the house. My Boykin keeps looking for a bird.

Yes it was a Merriams. There were no Reo's in that area at that time, maybe not even any in Oregon then. Now most are cross breeds in that area.

I keep saying we're going to hunt turkeys again but it doesn't seem to happen due to other demands. I swear I had more time to shoot and hunt before I retired.
