Default Brass shells

For anyone interested, Magtechs can be crimped with RCBS dies from Brownells, part # 99060 for the dies and 99061 for the shell holder. You'll need a press that will allow you to use 1 1/4x14 dies. Something like a Lee cast iron press will do the job. I had a lot of trouble finding the part numbers on the Brownell web site. It acts like they don't have them - found it by accident. A friend has everything and is going to try them. I always had trouble getting good reloads with nitro powders and have always thought, right or wrong, it was because of the crimp. I notice military buckshot brass 12ga shells are crimped. It's such a small crimp I think you could get a number of reloads out of it, and if the end got ragged it could be shortened a little bit and be good to go. Understandably, there would be playing around with the height of the cushion area to get it close enough to the top for a good small crimp. Midway has the dies for a little bit more.
