A Phoenix Reborn...
I bought my first Parker in the Spring, A PH built in 1907. The gun desperately needed help, and for some reason I really wanted to keep it in the gene pool to enjoy and someday pass on. I needed a partner to assist me with this, and Keavin Nelson graciously offered to meet and help me assess the barrels as a first step. After determining they were in sound condition, Keavin helped me put together a plan to return the gun to safe and usable condition. I’m going to let the pictures do the talking; I couldn’t be more pleased with the beauty of the restored stock and buttplate, the elegance of the repaired and re-engraved trigger guard (which he nitre blued), and the muzzle repair. This phoenix is reborn and will return to the field this Fall. Thank you Mr. Nelson for a job well done, and for your professionalism and willingness to teach a new Parker Community member.
