Update on my L. C. Smith Barrels,
Parker and I've had multiple communications on my barrels since my original post. Last night my brother (visiting from out town) and I were comparing various barrels from multiple makers redone by the Bachelder and others and without a doubt the coloring on their barrels is the best.
We tend to have multiple guns at various stages and locations being restored. Hope to post photos later this summer on a LeFever (JJ Roberts is engraving), Remington which Jerry Andrews just case hardened, Baker barrels from Bachelder (done being shipped), two more barrels from Bachelder: Parker and Claybough, high grade Joseph Lang which some cowboy action shooter cut beautiful 32 inch barrels to 24 inch being replaced with damascus 32 inch barrels. Several examples on wood work done by our own member Chris Robenalt. Chris just rebuilt a L. C. Smith forend if you saw the beginning and finished product it's stunning.
Finally we are having repaired is a 1886 Winchester 40-65 which was ranch gun from Prescott, AZ. This gun is worn but not abused.
