That is not what your original post states. You said you thought you overpaid.

Values for insurance purposes are best obtained from the Blue Book of Gun Values. It is something that is documented in print that can be provided to an insurance company to support the value. A range of values will be listed based on condition. In the case of average condition and lower grade guns, such as this PH, the blue book values normally exceed actual market values. Which would be beneficial to you in an insurance situation.
