Other choices are:
Replace the spring with one of Brownells top lever replacement springs (if you can avoid buying the full lot and find one that's "right"). Or, depending on where the original spring broke, have it welded back by Micro Precision Welding in Mattawan MI. No guarantee with that repair but a few of mine still work well...
