http://www.gunbroker.com/item/618322210, interesting gun. I have no financial interest in it. Also think it is somewhat overpriced. The interesting thing is that it appears to combine Grade 2 sideplates and hammers, with Grade 1 frame, barrels, forend, and stock. Yet the seller says all numbers match. Could it be a custom engraving job? If so, why limit it to only the sideplates and hammers? If it were one of the square frame bolsters sent back for cracking and frame replacement, and they replaced the cracked Grade 2 frame with a Grade 1 frame, it wouldnt have the Grade 1 matching barrels, forend and stock. Who knows. A letter might shed some light, but I'm not
that interested. Other thoughts?
