Bill, use a piece of soft wood or the edge of a wood table to carefully push the ejector hammer at the top of the forend back into place until it hopefully clicks. If it clicks into place, the ejector sear is not broken, but possibly filled with dirt or rust. Hold the forend very tight while you are doing this. Now install the forend and the triggers may work. Don't take it apart again. Let us know if you are successful.
