I can clearly remember when our farm house had a wooden crank phone like that. That's all there was in that area until the early 60's. Just can't remember the operators name. The phone line was a wire strung along on the ground through the bushes on the side of the road. I can remember my grandfather picking it up and cranking it and yelling through the hand mic at the operator; neither of them could hear much.

Good luck with your SBT Paul. I'm thinking I'd do well with one since it has a single trigger. I love busting clays way out there with the long guns!
