Cheddites are what's available right now and I've always found that they give similar or lower pressures in the majority of loads when compared with WW209's. Burn rates and payloads are the key factors.

I agree, but it is still a 2700 psi increase with Titewad with a Cheddite primer over a Win 209 with a heavier 1 1/8 oz load, 1900 psi more using Clays for 1 1/8.
They do seem to be on par pressure wise with lighter loadings. With heavier hunting loads I will treat them as a magnum primer and go down 1 bushing.
