Cetainly no offense taken. The preceding post gives good advice.
I've heard of case hardening a receiver costing from $300 to $600 from different gunsmiths. If you like the finished products of a certain smith the final cost is between you and him (maybe her) based on the amount of work that needs to be done and the historical accuracy of the restored product.
It costs you only time to call to discuss with a gunsmith.
