That’s true, be much better to inspect in person or buy from a trusted source, considering I am looking for upgrade on a existing vise. Vise on that bench now jaws don’t meet properly.

Some of the Parkers have what appears to be machined steel jaws screwed into cast iron. Ought to be possable to remove them and machine a fresh surface. I can make a new nut for most things & take a lot of backlash out. Depends oh how the vise is made. Another reason to inspect.
