Default Top Tang Screw

I found that Track of the Wolf sells a new top tang bolt for the Parker Hammer guns. It states that it is made for the No. 3 frame breechloading hammer guns and has been tested in the 10 and 12 gauges. The thing that puzzles me is that the specs call for a diameter of .235", which I remember to be about right. However the thread is described as "antique 8x36 thread". That diameter does not match a new size 8 bolt/screw. They have a 0.1" thick head for fitting and colse to 1.47" long. Anyone know the story here? Did 8x36 have a different meaning in the 70's/80's?

Interesting thing is that I could find no way to go to their site and locate the part in their listings. If you do a Google search and pick the right words, the link pops up. The part number is BOLT-8-36-PARKER-3 if anyone is interested.
