My 80 yr old father recently handed down my grand fathers only gun. A Parker 12 ga which is configured as a Skeet. One of you members has gone over and above to help me out. Pete Lister.
Never met my grandpa but from the photos and storage was as avid a quail hunter as there was. Hunting pretty much every day of season and had an occasional trip north for pheasants. In his younger years prairie chickens were abundant and he enjoyed hunting them also.
The gun itself has been shot, and handle extensively but Dad told me the gun was broke down and cleaned religiously after each hunt. I also received my Dads favorite gun when I was a kid (A5) and the first gun I had as a kid (Fox 20 ga)
Personally I hunt more than any person I know. I’m a predator caller, turkey hunter, bowhunter, duck hunter, and have hunted in several countries. I live on a farm we’re I do lots of habitat and intend on quail hunting with my grandpa’s quail gun. I have two sons that are also avid hunters and these guns will be passed on down. I noticed several of you shoot clays.. on a side note my 14 year old, 8th grade nephew just finished as the high school state Skeet championship. Guns and hunting run pretty deep in my family. I have all my hunting license as well as all my Dads hunting licenses. I am not very good on these forums so I will try and figure out how to attach photos
