With the added pad it would probably make a nice shooter for someone, but if that someone values originality and wants it as it came from the factory . . . well, then there's a problem. Yes, agreed. In addition, the LOP with pad is only 14" from the front trigger, so there was quite a bit of wood removed from the stock.
