I'm wondering if they would be safe to shoot?

I had a big Spanish magnum double 10 gauge for awhile that I killed a lot of geese with. I shot the heaviest shells available through it along with some of the early nasty steel shot shells and it never burped. It handled like a railroad iron that had been stocked with sawed up baseball bats but it was so heavy there was virtually no recoil. When you got it swinging on a goose it was like a magic death wand. I think the phrase "dead in the air" was defined by that shotgun.
